Doussie

In recent years, doussie wood has gained increasing importance in Europe and is often referred to as cherry because of its medium-red caramel hue.

Appearance and properties of doussie

In contrast to other red woods, its hue is less vibrant and dominant. The wood exudes a warm, cosy and therefore very homely character , which means it can be combined well with wooden furniture and other materials.
This is due predominantly to the wood's elegant grain, which unfolds its unique character in sweeping and expansive waves and partially alternating spirals. This is especially noticeable in larger widths and lengths.

The wood is weather resistant, resistant to fungus and infestations of insects and it is also acid resistant.
Thanks to its dimensional stability, doussie is particularly suitable for floors, bathrooms and wood for terraces outside.
