Lacquered parquet
Cleaning & Care
A layer of lacquer applied in multiple coats onto the surface of the wood protects the parquet from wear and dirt. The Bauwerk Parkett product range includes two lacquer surface treatments: B-Protect® and matt lacquered. Correct cleaning agents reliably remove soiling, while our care products restore the protective features of the lacquer.
Cleaning & care tips for optimal protection
Maintenance care
A broom, a mop or a vacuum cleaner are enough for routine cleaning and removal of loose dirt. More persistent dirt should be removed using a moist cleaning cloth. For a wet clean, a nonabrasive cleaning agent, like the Parquet Cleaner, may be added to the mopping water. Severe soiling and tough-to-clean stains can be removed using the Intensive Cleaner or the Universal Spot Remover Spray.
Full cleaning
Intensive Cleaner can be used for removing old layers of care products.
Initial treatment
If desired, your floor installer can perform the initial treatment immediately after installing the parquet. This treatment makes it possible to protect joints and edges against the penetration of dirt and moisture even more efficiently. We recommend Wax Polish or Parquet Care Eco for the initial treatment.
For B-Protect® surfaces, only Parquet Care Eco may be used.
Routine care
Our Parquet Care Eco product is the best choice for routine care. The frequency of its use depends on how intensively the floor is used.
Touching up the surface
We recommend Wax Polish for touching up matt lacquered surfaces that see heavier use. Since a machine needs to be used for this, please contact your floor installer to complete this task.

B-Protect® – natural look and invisible protection
The innovative B-Protect® surface finish by Bauwerk Parkett sets new standards in lacquered parquet: visually, the B-Protect® surface is almost indistinguishable from natural, untreated wood, while functionally offering all the benefits of a classic lacquered finish. This ensures optimal protection while preserving the natural look and feel of the wood, making the parquet particularly easy to care for and highly durable. A further advantage: even after prolonged exposure to light, the wood shows only minimal colour change.
