Natural-oiled parquet
Cleaning & care
Oiling is a treatment that impregnates the surface of the parquet floor with oil that protects the wood from wear and dirt. Our cleaning agents reliably remove soiling, while our care products restore the surface protection and help preserve the natural look.
Cleaning & care tips for optimal protection
Maintenance care
A broom, a mop or a vacuum cleaner are enough for routine cleaning and removal of loose dirt. More persistent dirt should be removed using a moist cleaning cloth. For a wet clean, a non abrasive cleaning agent, like the Parquet Cleaner, may be added to the mopping water. Severe soiling and tough-to-clean stains can be removed using the Intensive Cleaner or one of our various spot removers.
Full cleaning
Intensive Cleaner can be used for removing old layers of care products.
Initial treatment
If desired, your floor installer can perform the initial treatment immediately after installing the parquet. This treatment makes it possible to protect joints and edges against the penetration of dirt and moisture even more efficiently. We recommend Colourless Care Oil for initial treatment.
Routine care
Our Mop Care product is the best choice for routine care. The concentrated care product is added to the mopping water. The frequency of its use depends on how intensively the floor is used.
Touching up the surface
The clean surface can be touched up with the right Care Oil by Bauwerk Parkett. The frequency of oiling depends on how much the floor is used. We recommend re-oiling once a year.

Is your surface still sufficiently protected?
Place a drop of water on your oiled parquet. If it remains on the surface, your floor is optimally protected. If it is absorbed immediately, the surface should be re-oiled. Depending on the level of use, Bauwerk Parkett recommends re-oiling once a year.
