With the invention of solid parquet in 1935, Swiss pioneer Ernst Göhner laid the foundation for Bauwerk Parkett. For more than 90 years, a dedication to perfection has shaped the way we think and act. This Swiss precision is something we strive to make tangible in every product we create for our customers.

As a wood-processing company, we feel a responsibility to treat the resources entrusted to us in a sustainable, forward-looking and responsible manner at all times. As early as the 1950s, Bauwerk Parkett established research and development in wood technology. Since then, we have taken on a leading role as an innovator in the industry, continuously developing new solutions at our Swiss headquarters that enhance performance and longevity or stand out through distinctive design.

Innovation is deeply embedded in Bauwerk Parkett’s corporate DNA. To this day, we maintain one of the largest in-house research and development departments in the industry, where our colleagues explore the possibilities of wood every day. With a keen sense for both aesthetics and functionality, we continually highlight the unique qualities of real wood—constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible. For example, Bauwerk Parkett was not only the first parquet manufacturer, but also the first company worldwide to have an entire production site certified according to circular economy principles.
