Shaping a sustainable future
Sustainability is firmly embedded in our corporate culture. With the introduction of CSRD-compliant reporting, the Bauwerk Group creates transparency and takes responsibility for the environment and society.
As a parquet manufacturer, we are aware of our responsibility towards wood as a raw material and are committed to preserving forest resources for future generations.
Our ESG commitment
Climate protection and biodiversity
We use resources efficiently and promote the circular economy to reduce our environmental footprint. In 2024, the Bauwerk Group generated 52 percent more solar energy than in the previous year. 70 percent of production waste was recycled. We also take responsibility at a local level, for example by planting 2,700 oak trees in Croatian communities. Sustainability is embedded across all areas of the company, from production to regional projects.
Responsibility for employees and society
We create healthy working conditions and support the development of our employees. Around two-thirds are skilled professionals, and more than half work full-time. Long-term stability and growth are important to us. In addition, our teams are involved in local projects, such as the 2024 voluntary clean-up campaign in Lithuania. Green spaces were maintained, waste was collected, and facilities were cleaned. Initiatives like these strengthen team spirit and show what we can achieve together.
Sustainable governance and partnerships
We foster sustainable partnerships and responsible business conduct. Supplier codes of conduct, EU Taxonomy alignment, and double materiality assessments ensure transparency and ethical behaviour. The consistent integration of ESG principles into our corporate governance strengthens trust, resilience, and long-term value creation across all areas.
