Parquet in the kitchen
Robust and elegant, for the centre of your life at home
The kitchen is at the heart of every home and is used every day by most households. It is a place for cooking, dining, laughing, and just having a great time together – be it an evening with friends or a Sunday brunch with family.
Natural parquet brings an atmosphere of well-being into modern kitchens, and with the right treatment and care, it can withstand the demands of everyday use.

Resilient and robust: wooden flooring in the kitchen
In addition to the look, the degree of hardness plays an important role in choosing the right type of wood for parquet installed in the kitchen. To withstand sustained wear, the following types of wood are particularly suited for kitchens due to their high density: oak, ash, walnut, or cherry. Given that mishaps are common in the kitchen, parquet with a lively wood character is recommended. A more expressive grain can discreetly conceal any signs of use.
Perfectly protected, even in the kitchen
Various surface treatments are used to protect wooden floors from moisture and dirt. The choice here is between natural-oiled and lacquered parquet. Lacquered parquet offers a robust, easy-to-care-for surface. However, if the lacquer is damaged, it reduces the wood's protection. In contrast, natural-oiled parquet requires regular care, but thanks to its deep oil impregnation, the wood is better protected against moisture, particularly at the edges. Minor damage is easier to repair. This makes it the perfect choice for the kitchen.
