Villa Breda
In other spheres
In designing the single-family home in Breda, the focus was on developing intelligent, sustainable architecture: the building is intended to adapt to changing conditions indoors and out over its lifetime, supported by low-maintenance materials that minimize environmental impact.
The aspect of a building’s long lifetime concerns not only the choice of materials, but also the choice of style.
By raising the house by 80 cm, it was given a spherical touch, as if it were floating. The loft, with its seemingly endless window front overlooking an expanse of green, is designed to feel highly open.

The pared-back yet powerful architecture and interior design by Baudoin van Alphen Bergers Architects make it possible to maintain precisely this balance.
